Session overview:

Reflecting on learnings from her time consulting to those working with domestic violence over the last six years, Johanna Lynch will take us on a journey to reflect on what makes a healthy relationship and how it can shift into patterns of coercion. This wide generalist view of coercion is designed to work from first principles to help general practitioners and other generalist mental health clinicians to notice patterns that matter.

Learning outcomes:

At the end of this session participants will be able to:
  1. Describe the key elements of safe healthy relationships
  2. Name the key patterns that impact relationships that are coercive
  3. Name pathways for intervention when coercive control is identified.
