Session overview:
In this session, we will explore how GPs can support their adult patients as they seek diagnosis, medical and psychological treatment for neurodivergence. What drives adult patients to seek a diagnosis of neurodivergence? What are our goals for treatment? How do we collaborate with, and empower neurodivergent individuals to develop and grow?
Learning outcomes:
At the end of this session participants will be able to:
- Discuss how to provide a safe and supportive environment for neurodivergent patients to explore their identities and goals.
- Developing an understanding of challenges experienced by neurodivergent individuals.
- Discuss how to use a strength-based approach to support patients in developing skills that enhance wellbeing.
